PART 01: INTRODUCTION FOR INFORMATION SECURITY

PART 01 Introduction:

Hello Guys, in this tutorial we will study about cyber security. As we know, in this new era of technology is very important for us to keep our important assets. Before we know how about the cyber security more deeper, we must know the basic about it.

First of all, there are a history about cyber security that we must know.

              

History of security:

1.ENIGMA MACHINE:

 

Enigma machine from German World War II. 1^st type was broken by Poles in the 1930 and 2^nd  type was broken by Allies.

Alan Turning:

 

 

One person in history like Alan Turing who broke 2^nd type Enigma with keyword decipher.

In 1960’s Department of Defense’ s Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA) build ARPANET during Cold War and  later we called by INTERNET. ARPANET developed by Larry Robert to  enable many mainframes to communicate via a less cumbersome process than mailing magnetic tapes between computer centers

Before we know much about cyber security, we must know what security is. Security is divided by many subject, here is the part of basic security typical:

1. Physical Security = to protect physical items, objects, or areas from unauthorized access and miss use.
2. Personnel Security = to protect the individual or group of individuals who are authorized to access the organization and its operations.
3. Operations Security = to protect the details of a particular operation or series of activities.
4. Communications security = to protect communications media, technology, and content.
5. Network Security = to protect networking components, connections, and contents.
6. Information security = to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets, whether in storage, processing, or transmission. It is achieved via the application of policy, education, training and awareness, and technology.
